Our August Band of the Month hails from York, Pennsylvania!! They call themselves Neopsych, and this Christian Rock band is snowballing into the local music scene! The band started in 1999 and has had several line up changes as well as name changes within the past few years. The band finally settled on the name NEOpSych, which means "new soul" in Greek.

This five-piece ensemble has already established themselves as a local favorite with a killer line up of musicians! Gary wails away on vocals and is famous for his long screams, Jason S. adds killer guitar riffs, Jason R. keeps the beat on the drums, Bobby handles rhythm guitar and backup vocals, and Bob pounds out the energetic bass lines. Their sound is very popular with today's young rockers, as evidenced by their growing fan base.

Neopsych will be going into Cape Recording Studios in Mechanicsburg in the near future to record their debut CD entitled "The End of My Pain". It is sure to quickly become a local Christian Rock staple. But these guys don't care if they become rich and famous…they just want to spread their message, praise God, and lend a hand to anyone who needs it. I find this a truly unique and refreshing attitude in today's world, and I wish them nothing but good things in the future!!!

So if you have a chance…check out the guys from Neopsych and support them as they spread the good word while "Moshin' for Jesus"!
